We are pleased to report that we will be returning as a participant to one of the most prominent trade show events in the world, Licensing International, taking place from June 8-10 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Billed as the world’s largest brand licensing marketplace, Licensing International 2010 promises to feature over 7,000 brands and properties of all types, according to the show’s official website. Over the years, Licensing Direct™ has had the opportunity meet such heavyweights as Warner Brothers studios, Sanrio, Sesame Street, Crayola, and Disney at Licensing International, and this year promises to offer these very companies and many more.
In 2009, it is estimated that Licensing International drew in over 18,000 attendees, including 130 new retail companies. Participants also spanned a total of 98 countries, making this a truly global event. For all of these reasons, Licensing Direct™ is certainly looking forward to walking the show floor and networking with as many companies as possible on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with details on the next stop on our 2010 trade show itinerary on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors. We are pleased to announce that Licensing Direct™ will once again be a participant in one of the most exciting and diverse industry-only trade shows in the U.S., the National Hardware Show with Lawn and Garden World, taking place May 4th-6th at the expansive Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will mark the 7th consecutive year that we have participated in some capacity in the event, and we expect that the show will yield the customary plethora of valuable leads in a variety of industries.
In addition to the hardware and lawn and garden components that serve as the show’s namesake, the exhibit also features a section entitled the Homewares Show, which according to the event’s official site, features over 300 exhibitors in and of itself. Over 900 exhibitors are expected in both the Hardware and Lawn and Garden sections as well, and approximately 250 companies apiece in the painting accessories, plumbing and electrical, and storage and organization areas will also be present.
As per the National Hardware Show’s official site, there is an expectation of approximately 27,000 industry professionals attending the proceedings in 2010, making it one of the leading trade show events of the year. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with the information regarding the next industry-leading trade show event on our 2010 itinerary. We are pleased to report that Licensing Direct™ will attend the 2010 edition of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors, taking place April 16th-18th at the McCormick Place in Chicago. This year will mark Licensing Direct™’s return to the event after an absence of several years, and we expect that the show will be better than ever!
As per their official website, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is the world’s largest international trade show event dedicated to the kitchen and bath industry. The show features over 1,000 exhibitors in various segments of the kitchen and bath categories, and is widely attended by architects, re-modelers, kitchen and bath retailers and distributors, and plumbing wholesalers and retailers, among others. Professionals flock to this event for a variety of educational conferences in addition to the 3 days of networking and opportunity available on the exhibit floor.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report on the next stop on our trade show itinerary on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors. Licensing Direct™ is pleased to announce that we will be participants in the 2010 edition of the International Home and Housewares Show at the McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. This terrific event has long been a very successful staple of our event calendar, and has yielded several valuable manufacturing leads over the years for Invent-Tech inventor product ideas.
As per their official website, the Housewares Show estimates that this year’s proceedings will attract over 60,000 attendees and over 2,000 exhibitors. In addition, over 6,000 international buyers from 100 countries on 6 continents are expected. As customary, the show will be divided into 4 major categories: Clean and Contain, Dine and Design, Wired and Well, and an international pavilion entitled Global Crossroads.
This event has long been a particularly beneficial one for inventions in the household, lawn and garden, cleaning, pet, and even automotive and hardware industries, due to the considerable diversity of exhibitors, and we expect this year to be the most successful yet. Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report on the next stop on our 2010 trade show itinerary. Licensing Direct™ is pleased to confirm that we will once again be a part of the Caribbean Hardware and Construction Show in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 2010 version of the event will take place Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
This will be the 42nd overall year for this terrific event, and Licensing Direct™ will be marking our 4th consecutive year of participation on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors. According to the show’s official website, they expect to attract over 4,500 visitors and approximate the past figure of approximately $ 25 million worth of orders being placed with exhibitors during the proceedings!
As customary, this year’s show will feature exhibitors in categories such as building products and materials, electrical products, hand tools and accessories, general hardware accessories, and paint products and accessories, among other industrial and trade-related categories. What makes the Caribbean Hardware and Construction Show especially valuable from our standpoint however, is its diversity of exhibitors. To this end, companies in the pet products, lawn and garden industry, and household products categories are also expected to participate.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a report on our participation in the SHOT Show 2010 on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors. The event wrapped up earlier Friday, and unfolded between January 19th and today at the Sands Exhibition Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This year’s proceedings marked the 7th consecutive year that Licensing Direct™ has had some form of participation in the SHOT Show, and our trade show representative reports that he enjoyed several days of successful networking on the exhibit floor. This year’s event saw SHOT move to an all indoor venue for the first time in our tenure, and the result was a much more efficient and streamlined event that centered on relationship building between exhibitors and attendees.
Our aforementioned colleague reported having met with exhibitors originating from a wide variety of countries beyond North America and dealing with a wide range of products in both the hunting and law enforcement industries. Included in the group were manufacturers in the hunting apparel, general accessory and supply, and artillery categories. Additionally, our representative spoke with representatives from legendary hunting products brand Mossy Oak about the possibility of Licensing Direct™ submitting new product idea information to them on an ongoing basis.

Licensing Direct™ is proud to confirm our scheduled participation in the SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show and Conference) Show 2010, taking place January 19-22, 2010 at the Sands Exhibition Center at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Licensing Direct™ has had involvement in some form in the SHOT Show since 2003, and we have always found the event to be replete with manufacturers in the hunting, outdoor, camping, sporting goods, and law enforcement industries in particular that are eager to review new product ideas.
As per the show’s official website, the SHOT Show is considered the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports and hunting industries. It is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, archery, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, camping and related products and services. Show organizers estimate that the 2010 proceedings will attract buyers from all 50 states and more than 75 countries.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our latest trade show-related update. Licensing Direct™ is pleased to report that we will attend the AAPEX (Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo) Show 2009, taking place at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada from November 3-5, on behalf of Invent-Tech inventors. As per the official show website, the automotive aftermarket industry is a $ 405 billion dollar global market and this year’s event is expected to attract approximately 132,000 industry professionals from around the world.
Categories expected to be represented prominently at this year’s proceedings include air conditioning, automotive lighting, electrical system and batteries, friction and braking, engine and transmission parts, and equipment and tools, among many others. As with previous years at AAPEX, we expect that the show will yield very valuable leads and will be an overall positive experience for Licensing Direct™ and our client base.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with news on our next trade show event. Licensing Direct™ is pleased to announce that we will participate in the ERA D2C (Direct-to-Consumers) Convention, taking place September 13th-15th at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. The Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) consists of companies involved in various aspects of the multi-billion dollar direct response and infomercial industries.
As frequent readers of the Invent-Tech Network Blog are aware, we have historically received a great deal of interest in our Innovation Direct™ program from ERA member companies, especially because their business is so dependent on a constant flow of new product concepts. Therefore, we certainly expect that significant degree of productive networking will occur at the event with what we expect will be a receptive group of exhibitors.
As per the official show website, the ERA D2C Convention is expected to attract “more than 2,500 decision makers and innovators”, and will feature over 100 exhibiting companies in what should make for an intimate setting highly conducive to fruitful conversation and business dealings.

Hello, Juan C. Blanco, Licensing Direct™’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with our report on the ASI Show Chicago 2009. The event, which took place July 22nd -23rd at the McCormick Place in Chicago, seems to get better each successive year. Our trade show representative reported that he enjoyed a productive visit and was able to network with a cross-section of manufacturers that was representative of the typical eclectic nature of this exhibit.
Included in the companies that our representative spoke with were manufacturers in the household, lawn and garden, apparel, office products and stationery, and consumer electronics industries. Licensing Direct™ representatives will initiate the all-important process of following up with the leads obtained at the proceedings in the coming days and will bring you all relevant updates as we begin to establish relationships with the companies met.
