Invent-Tech secures advanced level of interest in kitchen, cigar accessories; Manufacturer Response Team staff returns to office following AAPEX 2006…

Good evening, Juan C. Blanco, Invent-Tech’s Director of Product Licensing, checking in with a Monday evening update to kick off another productive week. Today marked the return of our Manufacturer Response Team contingent that attended AAPEX 2006 in Las Vegas, as well as the securing of an advanced level of interest in two more product ideas from the Invent-Tech roster.

The first item is a kitchen accessory that could also potentially be used in the restaurant industry. The manufacturer expressing an interest initially signed a non-disclosure agreement on the product idea a couple of weeks back and then was provided access to all of the detailed design information on the invention. They then communicated with us via e-mail and informed us that they are very much looking forward to researching the potential of the item further and creating some prototypes for testing. While we certainly have no way of knowing if this scenario will eventually result in licensing success, we feel that the manufacturer seems willing to give the product idea serious review.

The second product idea to garner interest is a cigar accessory that an overseas company has decided to explore further. The manufacturer was originally sent all of the detailed design information on the product several weeks ago and just communicated their serious interest to us earlier today via e-mail. They stated that they would also be potentially creating a prototype for the invention and evaluating their interest in it for the long-term. Incidentally, this product is also receiving attention from a second company, located in Asia, that also just recently signed a non-disclosure agreement and is awaiting the detailed information on it.

Finally, today marked the return to the offices of the staff members that attended AAPEX 2006 in Las Vegas last week. We will be meeting further as the week progresses to go over all of the leads obtained at the event and plan our follow-up strategy.

Join us tomorrow for more news!
